- Navigate to the DNS Anycast tab in a SkyparkCDN control panel and start a trial
- Press the Create DNS Zone button.
- In a Pop Up window enter your site domain name.
At this step you are able to automatically transfer all existing NS records of your domain to a new DNS zone. When you enable this option our system will try copy existing NS records to a SkyparkCDN DNS zone. It could be convenient when you have a big number of records and want to save time while moving to a new DNS zone.
SOA (Start of Authority)
An NS record is used to delegate a domain to a set of name servers. We automatically publish NS records in our authoritative nameservers for each domain we are authoritative for. You cannot delete or change the default values.
If you would like to delegate a registered domain name to an additional DNS provider, add custom name servers as a new NS records here.
An A record maps a domain name to the IP address (IPv4) of the computer hosting the domain. Please enter an IP of your website here.
CNAME records can be used to point one name to another.
- Enter record caching time in TTL.
MX (Mail Exchange)
MX Records tell email delivery agents where they should deliver your email. You can have many MX records for a domain to ensure that email will always be delivered.
Google Apps provides a common example of using MX Records for email delivery. When you create a Google Apps account and you want your email to be delivered to your Google Apps mail account, Google provides you with a set of MX records that you need to add to SkyparkCDN. Here are the default MX records that Google suggests you should add:
- aspmx.l.google.com 1
- alt1.aspmx.l.google.com 5
- alt2.aspmx.l.google.com 5
- aspmx2.googlemail.com 10
- aspmx3.googlemail.com 10
A TXT (Text) record is an informational record you can use to provide additional information about your domain. You can use a TXT record to include notes about a host, or you can format it to provide technical information to servers. Please note that the length of a record must be up to 255 characters.
SRV records are often used to help with service discovery. For example, SRV records are used in Internet Telephony for defining where a SIP service may be found. An SRV record typically defines a symbolic name and the transport protocol used as part of the domain name, and defines the priority, weight, port and target for the service in the record content.
